Who Is Invited? Who Is Included? |
Everyone. What We Will Learn Inviting everyone makes a difference on every level. We have given parties, so to speak, for thousands of years, but never is everyone invited. Those who don't look like us, or believe like we do, or talk like us, are often excluded. Sadly, when we exclude or dehumanize others, we also isolate a part of ourselves. For example: within us lies the fear of acting in a way society condemns, thinking in a way society condemns, and living in a way society condemns. Accordingly, in addition to including all races, cultures and religions, a large and visible outreach of the project will to be those in prisons, psychiatric institutions, and homeless shelters. The theme will be broadcast throughout the Mideast Peace Prayer Project that inviting and including those who are excluded is not just a "pretty idea." In fact, accepting and including them is crucial to our own transformation. By including and embracing all of life and all aspects of the world, we ourselves are healed. With the understanding that everyone has a gift to contribute and that all life matters, our planet is healed. Important note: Throughout all areas of the project, utmost care will be taken to maintain its “all inclusive” nature. No political or practical solutions will be addressed. No group or cause will either be highlighted or disparaged. The project will not “take sides.”
